Sweethearts of Rhythm

Since I’m procrastinating on some very important decisions and emails, I might as well share something worth while on the blog-o-sphere. I first saw this on twitter and was so excited to read about The International Sweethearts of Rhythm, the first integrated female jazz band in the 1940s. Willie Mae Wong, of Chinese ancestry was one of the original band members! Even in the 40s we were making history. Check out the feature on NPR’s All Things Considered.
