We were all smiles after our performance at the INTERSECTIONS: A New America Arts Festival at the Atlas on H Street.
What was so special and important about this show was that artists of color were sharing the stage together and sharing their perspectives, shared and distinct experiences. That’s huge! I hope Sulu DC will continue to be a force in bridging connections and facilitating discussions among artists and communities of color. This show is just the first step. We’re gonna keep it going!
PROPS to Simone for her fantastic work curating and directing this show. It would have been impossible without her vision and hard work.
Now all we need is a follow up show…..
