all i need is a little more conversation

The gentlemen of SNRG recently released a new video of their song with Kat Alano, “Conversation”. It’s the directorial debut of Beau Canlas (aa beau canlast productions). It definitely captures the sweetness and difficulties of long distance relationships in a digital world (it even stars facebook). Check out the dope video here.

Catch them LIVE tomorrow night at Busboys and Poets (14th & V) when I host. Then on Wednesday, it’s another J & G (jenny & gowri) match up at the other Busboys (5th & K). G features while I host  *SPARKLE*, a queer-friendly open mic. For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, and musicians. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.

Then I’m off to the VA on Saturday for the Asian Festival. I’ll be at the TalkStory tent from 6 to 7pm, talking about underground Filipino American arts and sharing a few poems of my own. Probably not “Indiana Jones” (you can listen to it on the previous post).
