The Fierce Women I Know
The past week was filled with creative projects from the photoshoot to Sulu DC. In between, I managed to write a poem for the DC Chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF-DC) for the May membership drive (a little friendly competition between the chapters across the nation). The deal was to create a presentation of some kind that explores what being “fierce” means to us. So the DC Board asked me to write and perform a poem which they would then record.
I love NAPAWF (I wouldn’t be me without it, especially while I was in college), so I told them I was down, even though I only had 2 days to get it all together. Considering the tight timeline, it’s not too bad. Not too bad at all. But I will continue to add more and edit and we’ll see where it takes me.
Once the P2P page for NAPAWF-DC is up, vote for the video!
